Now for Change in Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale

Welcome to Rochdale Conservatives website covering the Rochdale Borough including Heywood, Middleton, Rochdale and Littleborough campaigning for change against years of liberal democrat and labour failure.

Mudasir Dean Selected for Rochdale Constituency

Mudasir Dean - Prospective Parliamentary Candidate Rochdale
Mudasir was born in Bolton, where his family settled in 1923; his grandfather was the first Asian to settle in Bolton but ran his homeopathic surgery from Drake Street in Rochdale. Mudasir graduated from Bolton University with a BA (Hons) in Business Administration. He has worked across the region with a varied career ranging from 10 years in Local Government to holding the post of Business Links Diversity Policy Manager for Greater Manchester. Mudasir’s current role as manager and coordinator of a very successful community cohesion project in Bury is demonstrative of his commitment to issues that are important to the improvement of today’s society.

Commenting on his selection, Mudasir said:
“It is an honour to have been selected by my Party to stand as a candidate in Rochdale. Here in Rochdale we have been let down successively by the Liberal Democrats and by Labour; it is only through the Conservative Party that we can deliver the positive changes that Rochdale needs. Whilst petty disputes over a photo are occupying Lib Dem MP Paul Rowen and Labour in Rochdale, I am keen to tackle the real issues that matter.

“Rochdale is close to my heart; I have a history here in Rochdale and very strong ties with this wonderful town through family, friends and associates. This has enabled me to develop strong links within the local community from a young age that I am looking forward to building upon.

“Our successful campaign against Manchester’s congestion charge last year shows that the Conservatives understand the needs of the local people. The fact that the Conservatives finished top in this year’s European Parliament elections in Rochdale sends a strong message that we are serious about delivering positive change for Rochdale. I’d like to thank everybody for their support and I am thoroughly looking forward to debating the real issues that are crucial to Rochdale.”

Linda Butler, Chairman of Rochdale Conservative Association said:
“I am pleased we have been able to select a candidate of the calibre of Mudasir Dean. He has been working with us for over twelve months and has already done a lot of work in the constituency.”
