Rochdale Remembers

Mudasir Dean, Cllr Jane Gartside & Cllr Ashley Dearnley
People across Rochdale paid their respect to the town’s fallen war heroes during Remembrance Day services. Locals from all walks of life gathered around Rochdale Cenotaph. The town’s main parade started at 10:15am from the Ukrainian Club on Mere Street and arrived in the town centre.

Heads bowed in solemn silence as hundreds paused in reflection to honour the men and women killed in conflicts past and present.

Cllr Ashley Dearnley, Conservative group Leader stated “The turnout at this year’s service was exceptional and locals from all walks of life gathered to remember those who sacrificed their lives”

Mudasir Dean, Conservative Campaign Team Leader for Rochdale stated “The Service was extremely well organised and reflected the mood of those who attended to remember the fallen.

Remembrance Day services also took place in Littleborough, Wardle, Milnrow and Norden.
