Rochdale votes no to congestion charge
Paul Rowen, the Lib Dem Council and Labour’s Simon Danczuk have all been given a massive slap across the face by the people of Rochdale over their support for a congestion charge.
Of the political parties only the Conservatives have been proven to be in touch with the views of the people of Rochdale. The massive vote against a congestion charge was achieved despite a massive advertising campaign for a “Yes” vote costing millions of pounds.
I would like to thank all those groups, organisations and individuals who have been campaigning for a “No” vote and especially to members of Heywood & Middleton and Rochdale Conservative Associations for their efforts in achieving this massive victory for common sense.
LINDA BUTLER
Chairman,
Rochdale Conservative Association.
