Springfield Park

Thank you to all the people of Rochdale who came to Rochdale Council’s Vision Day at Matthew Moss School last Saturday 18th April and supported the Friends of Springfield Park who are fighting to stop the Council and Link for Life from constructing a golf driving range on the playing fields at the park.

The object of the Vision Day was for the public to come and have their say on how they want the park to look in the future. The golf driving range would take away the playing fields which are used at present by young and old alike.

A questionnaire was available for people to complete on the day. However, if you didn’t manage to get to the Vision Day, you can log on to www.rochdale.gov.uk and download the questionnaire which must be completed by 30th April. The information in all completed questionnaires will be used to produce a report on what the public’s vision is for the future of the park. This public document will be published by 31st May having been scrutinised by an independent adjudicator.
